In 2018, Wheelarella relocated to the United States, entering the Los Angeles music scene independently. The transition was both isolating and transformative. Removed from familiarity, she was forced to rely entirely on instinct, learning not only how to create, but how to protect her vision.
The move reshaped her understanding of ownership.
She learned that independence was not simply about working alone, but about maintaining clarity, knowing which opportunities aligned with her purpose and which did not. It was about building something sustainable rather than waiting to be chosen.
